Irish megastar Conor McGregor tried to take a little peak behind the curtain while partying it up.

On Saturday, June 29, ‘Mystic Mac’ will step back inside the Octagon for the first time in nearly three years when he squares off with former Bellator MMA champion ‘Iron’ Michael Chandler in the UFC 303 main event.

Conor McGregor

With the fight little more than a month away, McGregor and Chandler should be practically living in the gym as they gear up for their big-money bout. However, it looks like the Irishman is putting in more work at the club than at his state-of-the-art training facility.

In a video clip shared by @MrTestoestrogen on X, McGregor appears to be filming himself while dancing the night away. After a few seconds, the camera pans to an unidentified woman wearing a rather revealing outfit. As it turns out, it wasn’t revealing enough as McGregor attempted to get a behind-the-scenes look before being abruptly denied.

There’s a lot to unpack here and none of it is great.

Another Day, another questionable Decision from conor mcGregor

It’s an especially bad look for someone who regularly touts himself as a family man. But when you’ve got hundreds of millions of dollars, people are more often willing to turn the other cheek. Donald Trump is proof enough of that.

Does this make you any more or any less confident in McGregor’s ability to score his first win since January 2020?

He may not be excited about it, but Dustin Poirier does see a world where he and Conor McGregor scrap for a fourth and final time.

Dustin Poirier isn’t ruling out a fourth fight with Conor McGregor, even if “The Diamond” clearly isn’t excited about the prospect right now.

Poirier had recently written off another bout against “The Notorious,” saying that ship had sailed and he didn’t need that kind of negative energy in his life. Fair enough given the sleazy things McGregor said about his wife leading up to their last bout.

But Dustin softened his stance a bit in a new interview with ESPN Radio where he admitted there was a chance the match could come together.

“It could, if the stars align,” he said. “But it just feels [pointless] even talking about it.”

“After going through the rivalry with him for so many years, and fighting him back to back in 2021,” Poirier said. “As I prepare to get ready for a fight week for the undisputed belt, and he’s fighting a guy whose last fight I choked him out. It just feels so far removed, and so many things have to happen before then.”

“So I’ll just focus on right now, and that’s Islam Makhachev.”

There’s no doubt in our minds that if Poirier beats Makhachev at UFC 302 and McGregor beats Chandler at UFC 303, the two will have to meet again before the end of the year for a final fight to conclude their rivalry.

Sure, Dustin Poirier is 2-1 over Conor McGregor. But that second win came off McGregor breaking his leg in half. There’s cause for a fourth fight to settle things, and more importantly, a whole lot of money to be made.

The path back to Poirier vs. McGregor isn’t as far fetched as Dustin would have us believe, but he’s certainly taking the right attitude putting it out of his mind until he deals with the task at hand: beating Islam Makhachev for the 155 pound belt on June 1st.

Jon Jones treated a few of his fans to some new swag at the mall.

Whether you love him or hate him — and there are plenty of reasons to land on either side of the fence — the reigning undisputed UFC heavyweight world champion has a reputation for being cordial with fans, whether it be out in public or at an event.

Jon Jones

Recently, ‘Bones’ shared a video of him doing some shopping at a local mall when a group of Gen Z’ers came up looking for a handout. According to Jones, they asked the MMA icon to buy them each a $100 shirt.

Jones agreed to foot the bill but on one condition.

“Local Albuquerque boys were brave enough to walk up to me and asked me to buy them $100 T-shirts at the mall,” Jones wrote on X. “In the Bible, it teaches us to ask and it shell be given to you. I respected the gangster and the bravery to ask so I gave them a proposition.”

We’re not sure which passage in the bible references receiving overpriced apparel for 50 pushups, but good on Jones for making those kids’ day.

Now maybe he’ll give Tom Aspinall his title fight in exchange for 100 squat thrusts.

Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall prepare for separate UFC heavyweight title fights

Despite being the undisputed heavyweight titleholder, Jon Jones seemingly has no intention of fighting current interim champion Tom Aspinall, forcing the UK-based star to become the first fighter in more than a decade to defend an interim belt at UFC 304 in Manchester.

Meanwhile, Jones continues to gear up for his return to the Octagon, slated for November 9 in Madison Square Garden, where he will presumably face consensus heavyweight GOAT Stipe Miocic, though Dana White and Co. have not yet made an official announcement.

Makhachev: ‘Stiff’ New Gloves ‘Will Cause More Cuts’

The UFC’s new fight gloves debut at UFC 302, and the lightweight champion has mixed feelings about the complete re-design.

UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has mixed emotions about the new fight gloves being debuted at UFC 302.

Makhachev is set to defend his title against Dustin Poirier in New Jersey on June 1st, and the event will mark the debut of a new glove the UFC has been working on for months. The re-design was revealed during UFC 300 fight week, and now Makhachev will wear the first golden pair of gloves as befits the champ.

But Islam has some not-so-complimentary thoughts about the new equipment after receiving a pair to train in.

“The new gloves are very stiff,” he said in an interview with Sport 24. “They will cause more cuts, as the previous UFC gloves were softer. These are stiffer. They don’t let you fully open your hand just to make sure the fingers don’t extend straight forward.”

Many fans had hoped the new design would gently curve a fighter’s fingers down to lessen the chance of eye pokes. Now we have Makhachev suggesting these gloves do that too much! He’s also not the first fighter to note that there seems to be extra fabric around the finger holes that could cause more cuts.

“But overall they are pretty much the same,” he concluded. “I am going to frame them next to the belt as the first golden gloves in the UFC. I believe that means a lot.”

We’ll see how the new gloves work out at UFC 302, but we’re not going into this blind. At the end of 2023 the gloves were being tested in training by many UFC fighters, and thus far there’s been nothing but positive reviews regarding the re-design.

But if we witness a bad cut during Makhachev vs. Poirier … well, to say that would cause some drama would be an understatement.

Jon Jones is tired of being 'Begged' to fight Tom Aspinall: 'I'm done with the distractions'

Jon Jones is tired of Tom Aspinall’s begging.

With ‘Bones’ sitting as the undisputed UFC heavyweight world champion and Aspinall carrying around the interim strap, you’d think it would be a foregone conclusion that the two would step inside the Octagon to unify their titles. Unfortunately, that’s not the case — no matter how much Aspinall begs for it.

“Even though it’s flattering to be begged, I’m done with the distractions,” Jones wrote in X. “Got the biggest fight of my life coming up.”

In reality, nobody is begging Jon Jones to do anything — except maybe retire. All Aspinall and MMA fans are asking is that he do the right thing and unify his title with the interim champion and top-ranked contender. Instead, ‘Bones’ insists on moving forward with a meaningless fight against 41-year-old Stipe Miocic who hasn’t seen his hand raised in four years.

Tom Aspinall moves on from Jon Jones

Tired of waiting around for Jones to do what has been done by practically every other undisputed champion, Tom Aspinall will instead defend his interim belt, becoming the first fighter to do so since Renan Barao more than a decade ago.

The UK-based star will head to Manchester on July 27 for a showdown with Curtis Blaydes, the winner taking the interim title home and setting the stage for… something.

Aspinall vs. Blaydes

The fight between Aspinall and Blaydes at UFC 304 will be a rematch of their brief encounter in July 2022. Aspinall went down 15 seconds into the scrap due to a freak knee injury, handing him his first and only loss inside the Octagon. Aspinall has been chomping at the bit to run it back ever since.

Aspinall will get that chance later this summer while Jon Jones focuses on his fight with Miocic, slated to go down on November 9 when the UFC makes its annual stop in Madison Square Garden.

Ronda Rousey claims she's not welcome to attend UFC events since departure I'm really vilified

Former undisputed bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey has claimed she has been “vilified” by the mixed martial arts media, citing their less than “welcoming nature” as the reason she has not attended a UFC event since her own final appearance in the promotion back in 2016.

Rousey, a former undisputed bantamweight champion under the banner of the organization and the first gold holder in the division, bowed out of the sport following a second consecutive defeat back in 2016, after an illustrious career atop the 135lbs weight class.

Returning from an hellacious second round high-kick KO loss to Holly Holm, Riverside native, Rousey headlined UFC 207 in 2016, suffering a blistering opening round technical knockout defeat to former two-division champion, Amanda Nunes.

And since receiving a Hall of Fame induction in the Modern Wing back in 2018, Rousey has been continually linked with a return to the UFC for a blockbuster comeback fight, particularly following her exit from the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) at the tail end of last year.

Sharing how a slew of concussions and other neurological issues forced her to call time on her career, Rousey voiced her displeasure with the media, claiming she has never been perceived as the greatest fighter of all-time – in which her own opinion she is.

Ronda Rousey again takes aim at MMA media

Furthermore, Rousey claimed the media’s decision to “vilify” her has resulted in her own respective decision to skirt UFC events as an attendee.

“They were the ones saying it,” Ronda Rousey told during an appearance on the High Performance podcast. “That I was a fraud and I was hype and I was exposed and I was never anything and just luck and all of these things. And that I wasn’t gracious or a good loser, or you know, every other thing. I feel like I’m really vilified by MMA media at this point and I’m not really welcomed back, which is why I haven’t gone to a UFC fight since, ‘cause I’m pretty sure if I walked into the arena, I’d be booed. That’s how it feels.”

“A lot of people don’t give everything that they have because they don’t wan to face it if it wasn’t enough but I realized it was enough for me but not foe people on the outside,” Ronda Rousey explained. “But it really wasn’t for them.”
